ISO consultancy
ISO 45001 & ISO 14001 Consultancy Pricing
What ISO implementation costs depends on the organisation, its existing arrangements and the level of support it needs. The indicative fees below cover structured consultancy: assessment, management system development, implementation and certification readiness. Independent certification is arranged and paid for separately.

How to read these figures
- Figures are indicative consultancy fees, not fixed quotations.
- Final pricing depends on organisational size, number of sites, existing management systems, operational complexity and delivery requirements.
- Independent certification body fees are not included.
- VAT is additional where applicable. Featherstone Safety is not currently VAT registered.
- Travel and additional site attendance may affect the quotation.
- A starting price applies only to a suitable, clearly defined minimum scope.
Consultancy fees and certification fees
These are two separate costs paid to two separate organisations.
Featherstone Safety consultancy fees
Cover the agreed management system assessment, development, implementation and preparation services set out in your proposal.
Certification body fees
Charged separately by the independent certification body you choose. Accredited certification normally involves a stage 1 and stage 2 certification audit, followed by surveillance audits and recertification within a three-year cycle.
Featherstone Safety is not an accredited certification body and does not issue certificates. Buying consultancy does not guarantee certification, which is decided by the certification body after its own audits. We can help you compare UKAS-accredited certification bodies and brief the one you choose. Why the two roles are separate.
How to get a fixed-price proposal
- Tell us about your organisation. Use the form below or call. The standard, headcount, sites, existing certifications and your deadline are the most useful details.
- Initial assessment. A short call, and a gap assessment where the scale of the work is unclear.
- Written proposal. A fixed fee, the scope, deliverables, site days and your responsibilities.
- Agreed start. A named contact on each side and a timetable that fits the business.

Frequently asked questions
Is the starting price a fixed quotation?
No. Starting prices are indicative and apply to a suitable, clearly defined minimum scope. After an initial conversation, and a gap assessment where it is needed, we confirm a fixed fee and the deliverables in writing before any work begins.
Why might our project cost more than the typical range?
Multiple sites, higher-risk operations, a low starting point, tight certification deadlines or a need for more hands-on implementation all add consultancy time. Complex industrial, infrastructure and multisite projects are quoted individually and may exceed £18,000.
Do your fees include certification?
No. Certification is carried out and invoiced by an independent certification body, ideally one accredited by UKAS. Its audit fees are a separate budget line, and certification is never guaranteed by buying consultancy.
Do you charge VAT?
VAT is added where applicable. Featherstone Safety is not currently VAT registered, so no VAT is charged at present. Any change would be shown on your proposal.
Can we start with a gap assessment only?
Yes. A gap assessment from £1,250 is a self-contained piece of work. It tells you how far you are from the standard and gives you a defined list of work, whether you implement with us, with someone else or on your own.
How do your prices compare with other consultants?
We do not publish comparisons. When comparing proposals, check the scope, the number of site days, what is excluded, how internal audit and management review are handled, and whether certification body fees are shown separately.
